Deforestation is responsible for nearly a fifth of greenhouse gas emissions, as well as massive loss of biodiversity and degradation of land and water resources. Treecreds ultimate goal is to work with industry partners in combination with a committed client base to help save threatened forests.
Treecreds are once again assisting RACV to audit, assess and offset the Energy Breakthrough Challenge held in Maryborough each November. Over the past three years RACV have closely looked at the emissions associated with the 4 day event and continue to work with Treecreds to implement energy reduction strategies.
Treecreds are also attending the Energy Breakthrough Expo where we are helping event organisers to deliver messages about climate change and sustainability to young participants at the event.
Treecreds will be attending the Boogie 5 Festival over the upcoming Easter weekend. Treecreds are pleased to be welcoming festival goers for the third year running and once again offering carbon par-passes at the gates. Passes will be $10 to offset 250 kilograms of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions. The carbon credits have been generated from the Minding the Carbon Store project in Queensland.
Treecreds continue to offer punters the opportunity to offset their transport emissions when travelling to and from their favourite festival. Held in Beaufort this January Rainbow Serpent attracted record numbers and were warm hosts to the Treecreds team.
Over 1250 carpasses were sold at this years festival meaning 313 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent emissions have been offset as a direct result of the Treecreds/Rainbow Serpent initiative. Click here to read about the Australian avoided deforestation project we support.
Treecreds are enjoying spreading the word this festival season.
We recently attended the inaugral Shine On festival through which 181 tonnes of avoided deforestation carbon offsets have been purchased. Congratulations Shine On, what a great effort!...Read more »
Treecreds are proud to present a 100% recycled tree this festive season.
This Treecreds Christmas tree you see
made locally, is carbon free
though it’s brown it’s truly green

It was not dug from out the ground

it’s offset too and has a function
in saving forests from destruction
It won’t drop needles on your floor
like Christmas trees you’ve had before
decorate with Christmas tiz
or simply leave it just as is
