Over Easter Treecreds attended boutique camping festival, Boogie. Now in its fourth year Boogie remains committed to delivering diversity in music, arts and food with a strong emphasis on sustainable practices. All punters were given a free train ticket with the purchase of a Boogie ticket and those travelling by car were asked to purchase a voluntary carbon carpass at the Boogie gates.
By purchasing a carpass, which offset 0.5 tonne of carbon dioxide emissions, punters more than adequately offset their emissions travelling to and from Tallarook. Information relating to the type of car and fuel as well as origin and number of people travelling was collected, all of which is being used to carry out a detailed transport audit of the festival. Treecreds is currently working on their detailed sustainability assessment of Boogie 4 and will shortly post some interesting facts and figures.
